Sarah T. Shannon

“I usually work on window displays and art installations in retail stores and hospitality. I have been working for Urban Outfitters in NY for several years and have done lot’s of windows and wood work in their stores, and I have recently finished the new Maison 69 store in Zamalek. I have been working on the walls for the past 4 months, from the Floating Books wall which contains about 3500 books chosen one by one to be installed on a huge wall, with all the memories and hand notes, even photos in those books as an interactive piece in the store that people can relate to. I also worked on “The Wall of Curiosities” which was a wall built out of found objects from all over Cairo, hand painted all in white to have a monochromatic feel and displayed on another wall. in addition to a few more pieces in the store”
